The Eastern Social Welfare Society operates two community service facilities in Seodaemun District; the Seodaemun Community Center and the Yeonhui-dong Elderly People’s Social Welfare Center. These centers aim at providing the needs for local residents and socially underprivileged individuals in the community. In particular, these centers help elderly and low-income families so that they can become independent and so that all local residents in the area can become happy, as a whole.

The Seodaemun Community Center opened in 1992, October 12th and opened with the vision ; “With trust, we create dreams and with all our love, we create happiness” With this goal, we provide our local communities with protection services, vocational training, education, counselling, case management and other services that help treat the societal problems of today. By providing our services, we strengthen the family environment and also care and serve for the welfare of our community.
