Welcome! I am Kim, Dojong, chairperson of Eastern Social Welfare Society. Thank you for visiting our website.

ESWS was founded in 1972 and has provided safe environments and educational opportunities for children who will lead the future of our society to ensure their healthy growth. We have also provided job opportunities for disabled people to live independently, so that many people with disabilities are demonstrating their potential in various workplaces.

We are working to lay the foundations for single mothers to raise their children properly through single mother support projects. We are helping seniors to lead comfortable retirement lives to enhance quality of life.

We are expanding our support to help Korean-Filipino children in the Philippines and Tamil children in the highlands of Sri Lanka dream of a better future.

We believe that we will be able to give hopes to more neighbors with warm support and contributions of companies, governments and donors. ESWS will continue to be there for all our neighbors in need with an unwavering and steadfast stance.

50 Years of Sharing and 100 years of Going Together

I am Kim, Jinsook, president of Eastern Social Welfare Society, Inc.

ESWS has worked in marginalized sectors in line with its Christian calling to “care for orphans and widows.”

Wading through many challenges and difficult times, we have made meaningful changes and continued to move forward for new hopes thanks to your prayers and encouragements. In the midst of rapid changes, ESWS has walked alongside children in need and underprivileged neighbors to realize the value of respect for life and has tried its best to become a social welfare organization instrumental in the society.

We will keep up with our works responsibly for children, women, seniors, disabled people, local communities, education and international development cooperation projects. We will go one step further and gradually initiate social works in preparation for the era of unified Korea.

ESWS will reach out with helping hands to the neighbors in need and strive to facilitate a world with a bright future for them. And we would like to seek support and participation from those who visit our website with warm hearts. Please join us!
